Worst Father’s Day Gifts

Dads seem to always wind up getting really sorry gifts as compared to mothers.

Of course, my Dad also has put up with it all through the years. However to be fair, for a number of the early years, my Mom affably accepted kitchen gadgets every year.

Dads, however, still usually receive terrible gifts on father’s day, also when the children grow up!

How awful can Father’s Day gifts be?

We have a list of the most terrible gifts on Earth!

* Gifts that say “WORLD’S GREATEST DAD”. Casual shirts. Cups. Neckties. Please stop. All dads have a closet full of “Greatest Dad” gifts. When you are in kindergarten, it’s adorable. But not hardly when you reach fifty.

* Neckties. This is one of the gifts for father’s day that is a classic. (moan) Who that first dad ever was, to be presented this condemned tie… Why did he say he loved it!!! I am envisioning a caveman wearing a necktie. It’s been bad for Dads ever since…

* Men’s Cologne. First, this says: “Father, you smell bad.” Second. It states: “Dad. We realize you own a whole bathroom closet’s worth of cologne. We are not concerned by this. There is invariably a place for one more.”

* Scribbled IOU notes or coupons. For back massage, foot kneading, and so forth. Adorable. But we should be realistic. This is the gift Dad receives when it is 7 pm on Father’s Day, all the stores are shut, and the children have neglected to obtain something. You have been caught red-handed!

* The nose hair remover — no need to say more.

* A card with a song like MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” Yeah. This is really available. (Father’s Day Gifts with an MC Hammer kick)

I spent much more time than I meant to, when I was browsing through my photos of my childhood with my Father, recently. Looking over every picture. The thoughts I must have thought when I was laughing at the haircuts and clothing. The memories you share. There is nothing as valuable as a treasured memory, when it comes to our family.
