Alabama is not the boring state some folks put it to be. You have a lot of festivals and hangouts to go around with, and this is something that most folks in Alabama can be quite proud of. With a toothy grin of course. Popular of these major attractions is the Mardi Gras, an internationally renowned event of colors, music and unrestrained revelry; this festival has actually started in Mobile. Not in New Orleans as most people assumed it would be. The festival starts right off after Easter, so it’s timely when breaking off from your abstinence. The Mardi Gras of Alabama is probably the most popular amongst its other lesser known festivals, complete with balls and festive parades, reception and booths that are packed with different cuisine gathered from varying regions.
The National Shrimp Festival is also located in the same state as the Mardi Gras, held on October at the time when they be a-plenty. More than hundreds of thousands of food lovers, gastronomes, and critics make the pilgrimage to Alabama to immerse themselves in this smorgasbord of food, art and entertainment. After all, shrimp festivals also deal with anything related to shrimps.
You find yourself inside the food festival you have been reading about for so long. The sights you see are just what you have read in the flyer, the sound is certainly not second rate, and the air is bursting and filled with succulent odors and varying scents of food like freshly-baked bread, roasted meat and grilled fish (or basically whatever theme that festival has). But suddenly, you ask yourself, standing in the middle of the crowd. “Why am I even here?”
Food festivals are a great way for you to get yourself familiar and exposed with the different ways to apply and serve food in a business setting. The food fair is one place you can learn quite a lot of things from, like how to manage successfully setting up a food table (and actually keeping it intact, which requires a whole lot of discipline). There are others too, like which food combination go well and what to avoid. Well, that is if you are interested in the concept of food crafting.
