2. Most homes are stuffed with pictures of family and friends put in by the members of the household; to make your hotel room seem more like home, bring your favorite pictures. To take the burden of packing and unpacking them, the thing to do is have copies of them and place them into sturdy frames without glass to keep with your luggage at all times. This way, you never have to remember to pack them for trips as they are already packed.

Certain aromas can make a person feel at home so having fragranced candles in your hotel home that remind you of home will make your stay more relaxing. For many, the smell of something baking in the oven, like apple pie, reminds them of home.
4. Sleeping in a strange bed can lead to a restless night. You can feel more at home and sleep better if you have your own familiar pillow. Snuggling up with the pillow you always sleep with at home will help you to sleep better if for no other reason than that it is familiar.
5. If you have a particular afghan or blanket throw you like to cuddle up in to watch TV or read, bring it with you. It can be very comforting to curl up in it when you are in your hotel room.
