Spindle cottage is quite old and in fact it is one of the oldest cottages in Scotland. It was at first built in the 17th century and shares some of the most gorgeous sights which you can ever see in any cottages around the world. It is simply breathtaking and when you will visit the shared garden then the sweat smell of the flowers as well as verdant green lawn will certainly force you to feel as if you are in heaven.

This cottage is just 10 miles away from St. Andrews and is 44 miles away from the Edinburgh airport. In fact it is located in the centre of the historic village. It has been fully refurnished and let me tell you that it still carries its chronological legacy.

It should come as no surprise that the Golden State is shot-through with big cities. To be sure, smaller college towns like Berkeley, Davis, and Irvine also get folded into the Golden State batter. With all of these options, what makes Sacramento the capitol?

Named by the Spaniard, Gabriel Moraga, Sacramento was little more than a trading post when John Sutter arrived in 1839 from Switzerland. Within ten years he and his heirs would guide the transformation of the trading post into a military barracks for the U.S. Army and eventually into an incorporated city. Sacramento is the oldest incorporated city in the state, having been invested in 1850. This does not mean it is the oldest, however, as that distinction belongs to Monterey.

Following the conclusion of the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), the capital of California was moved from Monterey. The first city to be designated the new capitol was San Jose. When the state legislature met there in 1850, it was argued the capitol should be moved further inland to avoid retribution either from Mexico or the Spanish Empire.  Read more...

The Boyana Church is surrounded by a quaint garden and inside is a magnificent collection of medieval frescoes. The lakes and mountains holidays in Italy are very beautiful and most can be found near the Alps in Northern Italy. One of the largest lakes in Italy is Lake Garda located between Milan and Venice. This lake was originally formed by the glaciers. Lake Garda has many resorts and hotels along its shores as it is a very popular tourist destination.

Some interesting spots to visit on the lake include Sirmione, an ancient fortified town. This town contains the Virgilio & catullo Spa Complexes and has many hotels, bars, restaurants, fashion stores and a market. You can also visit the Roman poet, Catullus’s villa and a 13th century castle, Scaliger castle. At the very tip of the peninsula is a sulfur springs which is noted for its healing of catarrhal conditions. Very close to Lake Garda is one of the most famous parks in Italy, Gardaland.

Another lake known for its beauty is Lake Como. This lake is close to Lake Garda and is only about an hour from Milan. There are many beautiful gardens and villas to visit as Lake Como is known for its lakeside villas. Some villas that should not be missed include Villa Carlotta, Villa Serbelloni, Villa Melzi, Villa del Balbianello and Villa d’Este.
